DESIGN CAMPAIGN AD : CREATING A MOTION GRAPHIC FOR A JEWELRY SERIES

TASK: DESIGNING A MOTION DESIGN THAT IS COHESIVE WITH THE VISION OF THE JEWELRY COLLECTION

TOOLS: Adobe Illustrator, ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS, ADOBE PREMIERE PRO

PROCESS
This motion design I did at my internship with Shahla Karimi. This project was created to be content from her social media platforms [instagram, shopify, pinterest, etc], and emailers to promote her jewelry line based on the New York City subway lines. To create this, I utilized Adobe Photoshop/ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR to edit the jewelry photos before compositing them in Adobe After Effects where I used parallaxing technique to create depth and some other after effect techniques. I also did a product shot at the end to show the consumer the jewelry clearly. In terms of art direction for the project, was given guidelines to make sure that I used the brand book’s colors within the color scheme and had to make sure to incorporate the mta line. I pulled my inspiration from the my everyday experiences of taking the subway to work and thought of how everyone waits for the door open, just like how women eyes light up when their partner’s slowly open up a jewelry box gift. The concept was something relatable, deeply engraved in NYC life and the concept would be elegant, while still being youthful enough to please all of Shahla's demographic.
